As one of the very first franchisees to join the Signs Express network, Ken Bevis opened his centre in Grimsby in 1992. His varied career history had seen him in the army and owning and operating an International Refrigeration Transport company.
Now over 20 years on, Signs Express (North & North East Lincs) has grown to be the largest in the group with an ever growing customer base. Ken was also one of the first franchisees to own his own purpose built centre, expanding from the original 2500ft centre to a 5000ft one in 1998. This helped make it possible to handle substantial orders and continue to expand by extending the premises ever further over the years and constantly investing in new equipment.
Ken Bevis comments; 'Technology has always driven us forward in every area of the business, particularly production and communication, which is what we're all about. As a network we are always evolving, continuing to look inwardly and externally, moving with the requirements of the world, plus maintaining our position in the market place. We are never standing still.'
After celebrating sustained success in the market place, Signs Express recently launched a new corporate identity. All elements of the brand have received a fresh new look; from signage, literature and press advertising through to the company's website and company vans; which will be seen driving across the length and breadth of the country.
Before launching their new brand look, Signs Express, which has over 70 franchisees, undertook extensive customer research, including focus groups and a national survey to help shape the direction of the new look and feel. Signs Express has also taken the opportunity to refresh its logo and by using a new bright and engaging colour palette, given a fresh energy into the established brand.
