When was the last time you took a good look at your current signage? Here are our top 5 tips to assessing your current signage:
1. Is it safe?
2. Does it draw in clients?
3. Does it serve its function and serve it well?
4. Does it look attractive?
5. Has it been renewed since your last rebrand? Is it faded/peeling/dirty/out-of-date?

If the answer to any of these questions is no… well then your signs and graphics are most definitely not up to the gold standard and you will need to pass the baton on to younger talent and soon.

However, how do you know that your new signage will live up to expectations? Here are a few tips on what to look out for:

1. A qualified supplier
A company that will go the extra mile and who hold all the certificates and medals to get you what you need and ensure that any installation is done to regulations.
2. A crowd pleaser
Does your design give your customers the right impression? You want signage that is going to get your over every hurdle with your customers, whether it is drawing them in with exhibition stands, interior wayfinding signs or large illuminated exterior signage, you want to be able to put yourself ahead of the field and knock your competitors out of the game. Conduct a focus group of your designs, or use a reputable design agency who have plenty of experience with large brands.
3. A bespoke solution
You want signage that is tailored to your needs and your building. You want signs that add a little spice to your space, that fit in with its surroundings, but are functional as well.
4. Value for money
In order to meet the gold standard, price is not always top priority, but value is. A 2016 survey of 1,000 business decision makers, revealed that almost 70% of them believe that getting good value and service is always more important than price.

Follow these simple rules and you will ensure that your signs and graphics not only have stamina, but they also have appeal and functionality!
