Vehicles used by York's St Leonard's Hospice have been given a fantastic new look by Signs Express (York) – and the company has also donated £1,500 towards the cost of a new vehicle for the Hospice@Home service.
Signs Express (York) is upgrading signage throughout the Hospice and at its retail outlets in and around the York area and in Selby, Pocklington and Sherburn-in-Elmet. All the Hospice's vehicles are receiving the new look, based on the Hospice's logo of the sunflower, including the Hospice@Home vehicles, which staff use to visit patients being cared for in their own homes, as well as patient transport, maintenance vehicles and the retail collection vehicles.
Ian Dawson, Managing Director of Signs Express (York) said, 'We have greatly enjoyed working with the team at St Leonard's Hospice for a number of years, and more recently we have had the pleasure of working with them to rebrand their vehicle livery, hospice and retail outlets with fantastic new and vibrant designs that reflect the amazing work at the Hospice. We are all touched by the Hospice and the incredible work that it does.'
Established for more than 20 years, Signs Express (York) has celebrated a fantastic year in 2015 and was keen to share in its success by making a donation to the Hospice, which is an independent charity that relies heavily on the generosity of the public in order to fund the £4.5 million it costs each year to run.
Theresa Barrett, Communications Manager at St Leonard's Hospice stated, 'Lots of people see our vehicles out and about in the area, and the bright new livery is certainly eye-catching and will remind people of the work we do in caring for the local community. We are very grateful to everyone at Signs Express (York) both for their brilliant work on our image, and also for their generosity in supporting our 'St Leonard's Care Everywhere Appeal' that is raising funds for our Hospice@Home vehicles.'
